Hi there and welcome! The weather is gorgeous here today as I write this post, but I’m including items you can wear with grey no matter what month it is! Okay, if you’ve read anything I’ve written before or seen any of my outfits, you’ll know I love neutrals. So, it’s no surprise I love grey and I’m writing a blog post about what to wear with it. Grey might feel like a winter color, but I also love grey tops for the springtime! It’s a great color to adapt and use as a blank canvas no matter the season.
For example, I wore this grey sweater on a spring day. Anyway, let’s look at what to wear with a grey shirt. There are so many pretty grey top options out there, and I’ve linked several here that I love across different seasons.

What To Wear With A Grey Shirt
Grey Denim
I’m not sure what it is about grey, but monochrome grey outfits are just pretty to me. There’s something about them that feels super chic. They aren’t as bold as an all black outfit and they aren’t as preppy feeling as an all white outfit. Grey is just the perfect color for a sleek and polished monochrome look, which is why I love grey denim with a grey top.
I own these exact jeans in two different blue washes, and I keep adding this grey pair to my cart. These jeans are a fabulous cut, and part of the reason they’re so good is because you can purchase different lengths. I’m 5’4, and I’m wearing the regular. I do have long legs for my height. Silver jewelry looks so beautiful against grey. It doesn’t blend in too much and still pops. I love how different materials in the same color family look next to each other. It’s a nice contrast! Black Espadrilles And Black Sandals
If you’re wondering what shoes to wear with a grey linen top or another lightweight grey top for warm weather, I highly recommend black espadrilles or black leather sandals. I’ve always loved flats, but I rely on them even more now that I’m a mom. Espadrilles always feel like the best of both worlds to me in that you can find a pair that look elevated but they’re also practical.

Chambray Button Up
One of my favorite pieces in my closet is this grey cashmere sweater vest, and I love to wear it with a chambray button up! The soft chambray blue is a pretty contrast against a grey sweater vest. This is such an easy look to recreate, and it’s an outfit made up of closet staples.
Ecru Jeans
It’s probably pretty obvious by now that I love to mix and match neutrals! Ecru jeans are a great alternative to stark white jeans for any time of the year, but I really love them for spring, which is when I’m writing this post. I put together an outfit idea of how I would wear this type of look for spring or even for fall. This is easy to transition to cooler months by wearing a long sleeve sweater, and this exact top also comes in a long sleeve version!

Leather Loafers
Loafers really work for the entire year, but I especially love them in the fall, winter, and spring! So, if you’re looking for shoes to wear with a grey top during one of those months, I recommend leather loafers. Black leather loafers go with grey, but grey is a great chameleon. Leopard Slip Skirt
Leopard was everywhere in the early 2010s. I remember having so much of it in my closet, and it was a favorite pattern for me and my girlfriends. We had leopard everything – from a belt to heels. So, it’s kind of fun to see it come back into style now. Anyway, I’ve always considered leopard a neutral, so I love how it looks with grey, whether that’s a t-shirt for a casual look or a sweater for an outfit to wear to work!
Black Leather Pants
Grey sweaters pair so well with black leather pants for fall or winter. This is such an easy look to put together, and it’s versatile enough to style for work or the weekend. You can wear this outfit with booties, pumps, or loafers depending on what you’re dressing for. Don’t forget a belt!
Neutral Linen Pants

Camel Coat
Grey and camel are one of my favorite combinations. I love the look of them together all year, but I think it’s easiest to pair these two together in the fall and winter. I wore this look in London in October, and it’s an outfit I will definitely wear again next fall! These two neutrals look so chic together you really can’t go wrong! I’m also including a few jackets that are lightweight that you can wear with a grey top in the spring or fall.
Faux Shearling Jacket
If you like to have a little edge in your looks, consider a shearling jacket with your grey top. Pair these pieces with black jeans, blue jeans, or even a skirt.
