Hi there! Fall is one of my favorite seasons to style looks for, whether I’m picking out something for myself to wear, helping a friend put together an outfit for work, or suggesting an outfit for you! I love how the weather means you can wear different looks on different days. However, that might be a little frustrating if you don’t love to style looks and just want to be able to wear something chic that you feel good in. So, I thought I’d put together a post with some looks you can wear right now that are easy to style.
Five Early Fall Outfits
Easy Outfits For The Days You’ve Wondered, “What Does Fall Weather Feel Like Today” When Getting Dressed
Changing up your outfits for a new season is fun, but it can be tricky to get dressed between seasons when the weather is a little fickle. So, these outfits are super easy to put together! Fall is one of those seasons where layers are your friend. You might need a lightweight jacket, or you might need a linen dress with a sweater! Plus, the average weather is different depending on where you live. So, no matter what the weather is like this fall where you live, these outfits are easy to throw on and still look good.
What To Wear In Early Fall
The Denim Dress You Can Wear Pretty Much Anywhere
I’ve been looking for a denim dress for a few years (I’m not kidding), and I haven’t been able to find the perfect fit. I often find one I like, but the neckline isn’t quite right or the dress is cut too short. Enter this gorgeous option! I absolutely love the fit – it’s not too tight, but it’s not too loose. The length is perfect to wear with heels or flats, which is always the dream length and often hard to find. It has a belt that fits perfectly around the waist. It’s just all around incredibly flattering. It’s also so soft. You can tell this is a quality, 100 percent cotton dress.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to wearing this to my next dinner out with girlfriends. I’ll also wear it for a date night. While I’m wearing it here with slingbacks (shop similar here) for a quick bop around Georgetown, I love how it looks with boots too. I’m wearing size 6 in the dress, which I picked based on my measurements and compared it to the size chart. My dress was gifted without any obligation to share it.
Embroidered Blouse And Jeans
Okay, next is this beautiful embroidered blouse I’m wearing, which is on sale for account holders at the time of writing! While this blouse is certainly memorable, it’s also incredibly versatile. If you need an outfit to throw on for a breakfast or lunch date, a shopping trip with a friend, or a casual Friday at the office, simply pair this top with jeans and ballet flats. You don’t need to overthink the jeans, work pants, or skirt you’re wearing with this top because it’s the center of attention in any outfit. The embroidery is so pretty in person! I sized down one size, and I can wear it untucked or tucked in. Click here to see a reel I put together on different ways to style this for work or weekend.
My top, bag, and sunglasses are exact.
Linen Dress For A Warm Work Day
If I were to dream up the perfect dress for a mom who works, this is probably it. It’s work-appropriate, the length is kid-friendly, and it’s breathable. You won’t sweat from this dress while you chase around your kiddo. Plus, it looks super cute with a lightweight lady jacket cardigan over it for fall. Click here to see how I styled it with this lady jacket. The dress also comes in black and navy, but I thought this green was the perfect end of summer and early fall option. Be sure to consider sizing down because I sized down one size! I’m able to wash and dry it, too.
Okay, one last thing about this dress. You can wear it with pretty much any pair of early fall type of shoe! So, slingbacks like I’m wearing, ballet flats, sneakers, or loafers.
Stretchy Navy Blue Top And Jeans With Loafers
This outfit is made up of base pieces, so you can easily layer this look and change up the vibe depending on what you’re doing. I love how you can elevate this for the office by adding a blazer or cardigan. I wore this to visit with family and run a few errands, so I kept it simple with just a belt. These loafers are perfect for busy weekends as they’re resilient and comfortable right out of the box. They come in tons of color options, and they run true to size. My top is currently 25 percent off. It is super stretchy, which means it’s really comfortable! I sized up one size, which I recommend since it is fitted. It also comes in a few other colors.
I linked jeans that are the same cut in a similar wash. My exact pair are sold out.
Classic Slip Skirt And Striped Cardigan
Slip skirts are a great piece to have in your closet all year. But, they’re really easy to wear in the fall and spring because they work with most shoes. I own the one in the outfit idea below in this color and black. These skirts look really nice in person! They have the added benefit of an entirely elastic waistband, which means they’re pregnancy friendly. Anyway, you can wear this skirt to work or out to date night. I love how it looks with this lady jacket cardigan, but it’s just as cute with a button up or sweater. You can tuck your shirt in or leave it untucked! The outfit options with a slip skirt is endless. Click here to see the skirt and cardigan below on me with these booties – it’s about halfway through the reel!
Are these outfits helpful for this fall weather? It’s been warm here one day and even a little a crisp the next. So, my fall styling efforts have already been tested!
