If you’ve ever wondered what in the world a sleeveless sweater is for, me too. But, I’ve found so many ways to style them this year, and they’re a great option to layer with. This sleeveless turtleneck sweater is one of my most worn pieces since purchasing it. The same turtleneck layers perfectly under a matching oversized blazer, which just so happens to cinch in at the right places! If getting dressed for work is a roadblock during your mornings, then think about how easy this is to wear. You just need to add pants, jeans, or a skirt. I love a full monochrome look, but a matching top and jacket are just as good. Both of these pieces come in other color options and you can make monochrome looks out of those too.
Okay, if you’ve read my blog before, chances are you might’ve already seen some of these photos. I love to rewear the same outfits, and it’s part of my why I shop at the places I shop. Chunky turtleneck sweaters are the best for cold winter days because they’re so warm and typically very comfortable. You don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort, either. A cable knit turtleneck adds a nice detail. I always love vertical lines on chunky sweaters so they don’t make you feel or look wider. They actually add length to you.
Don’t forget to use your accessories to soften a chunky sweater outfit too. A belt will help break up the outfit! I don’t have my ears pierced, but if I did, I’d opt for super dainty jewelry to balance against a chunky turtleneck.

Classic turtlenecks are kind of like any classic fit sweater – they aren’t too loose or too long, but they also aren’t super fitted. They fit just right with a little bit of room to tuck in your sweater if you want to.

This sweater proves that wearing a turtleneck doesn’t have to be frumpy! It falls perfectly, and it looks really nice tucked in, which is a great option for styling it for work. The buttons on the shoulder are such a beautiful detail, especially if you have short hair or you’re wearing your hair up!
This turtleneck is another option that you can wear for different purposes, whether you’re going to work, a nice dinner, or a busy weekend. Since it’s a classic fit, it’s easy to layer! As a mom, I appreciate the sleeves on this sweater because they aren’t too wide and they’re easy to push up.
I also love that you can layer over this turtleneck with most any type of jacket. I went with a denim jacket, which is one of my go-to jackets for the spring and fall.
Classic Neutral Turtleneck Sweater For The Weekend
This is the same classic fit turtleneck as above, but it’s styled totally differently for a fun day out in Boston. My favorite thing about my exact turtleneck is that it’s 100 percent wool, and it’s super soft. It also comes in a few other colors that are easy to style with jeans.
How To Wear A Big Turtleneck Sweater
One of the easiest ways to wear a big turtleneck is with jeans and your favorite comfortable shoes, whether that’s loafers, boots, or sneakers. I love the off duty vibe it gives, and it’s just such an easy outfit to wear for a busy day. But, there are also ways to elevate turtleneck outfits!
Monochrome Outfit: Slip Skirt And Oversized Turtleneck Sweater
A big turtleneck is perfect to wear with skirts and boots. You can tuck the turtleneck in the front of the skirt to break up your outfit, or just wear it completely untucked. You can also add a belt! This type of outfit looks polished, and it’s also on trend. If you don’t want to wear boots, I’d also wear this outfit with loafers, ballet flats, or sneakers.
I recently visited the Cuyana store in Boston, and I love the quality of their bags and clothes. I picked up a different sweater, but I tried and loved this cashmere turtleneck. It would be perfect to wear with skirts. You can see it on me here in white at the end of this reel.
