And, it also brings a chance to wear some warm-weather outfits! Choosing a date night outfit should be fun, but it can also be a little tricky considering the unpredictable spring weather. So, I’m sharing a round up of spring date outfits that I think you’ll love.

A Few Things To Consider: What Is The Weather Like In Spring At Night, How To Layer
Spring feels like the one time of the year when you have to really focus on the weather as you plan your outfit. Since the weather can be cool in the morning and in the night during spring, I typically bring or wear a layer. This could be anything as simple as a button up to wear over a dress or even a lightweight jacket. Linen trench coats are gorgeous, and they’re everywhere right now. (I’m currently obsessed with this one). They’re the perfect layer for a chic date night layer that you can wear on your way there. Another option for keeping warm but not too warm is a short sleeve sweater like I’m wearing above.

Floral Strapless Dress You Can Layer Or Wear By Itself
This strapless dress is honestly a showstopper! This dress is a recent purchase, and I love it so much! I bought these two different colors to try. While I wish I could’ve kept both, I ended up going with the beige and cream option because I could only justify one. It’s surprisingly versatile. If you need to add a layer, it looks so cute with this cotton cropped button up. The dress runs true to size, but if you are between sizes or need to size up for your chest, then I’d go with your size up. For the button up, I purchased one size down.

Short Sleeve Sweater With Jeans Or Skirt
I wore this short sleeve sweater recently to dinner. It also comes in black, which is a great date night option. I love how you can dress it up with a slip skirt or wear it with jeans for a casual type of date night. Either way, it’s great for spring because it’s cotton so you won’t be too hot.

Denim Shift Dress
This denim shift dress looks is one of my favorite spring outfit ideas. A denim dress is a sensible outfit base, so you can really make the outfit look like whatever you want it to. You can wear this with any type of shoes and it’s so easy to add a layer under or over this dress. Okay, one more reason I love this dress is that it’s incredibly versatile – you could easily wear this to work and then wear it for a weeknight date night.
Nice Dinner With Friends
This type of outfit always looks good, is comfortable, and you can wear it in so many different settings. I love this look for a night out to a nice dinner with friends where there is still a little bit of a casual vibe. There are lots of places like this in cities like DC, but this is something I’d wear on vacation with my friends too. Wear the button up open, and don’t forget to wear your favorite necklace!
Matching Knit Skirt Set
This knit set is the perfect thing to wear in the spring because it’s cotton, lightweight, and you can wear it with sandals. The exact color I’m wearing is sold out, but there are some other options that I actually prefer to the stripes.

Short Sleeve Cashmere Sweater
My short sleeve cashmere sweater can be worn in a really fun date night way because it has a cropped cut. I love how it looks super chic with jeans, and you can wear it tucked or untucked. This top would also pair well with trousers and a block heel sandal for an effortless date night look. It comes in several colors!

Crisscross Waistband Jeans With T-Shirt
This is what jeans and a going out top feels like to me sometimes! A crisscross waistband is a fun way to spice up an ordinary outfit. My jeans are old from Abercrombie, but I found a pair with the same type of waistband at GAP. It wasn’t hot but it wasn’t cold this day, so I wore raffia shoes and a bag to make it feel more like a spring outfit. Shop my outfit here.
Scalloped Linen Top You Can Wear With Anything
I tried this flowy linen top recently, and I can’t stop thinking about how good it will look with jeans, a skirt, trousers, or linen pants! This neutral color just screams warm weather. It also comes in a beautiful green as well as black. It’s the perfect date night top!
