Hi there, fashion lover! I normally cozy up in jeans, faux leather pants, and sweaters throughout the fall and winter, but I always like to have a dress or two in rotation. I recently put together an edit of dresses that you could wear for Thanksgiving, featuring the dress I’m wearing throughout this post. It’s fully stocked! And, it’s on major sale! It’s 40% off, making it $75 with code OHJOY. Today, I’m sharing a few ways to wear this dress or one like it.
The Perfect Fall and Winter Dress for $75
First, let’s talk sizing. It definitely runs a bit big, so I suggest sizing down. I’m pregnant, and I’m wearing size XS regular. The size small regular also fit me, but I want to wear this postpartum, so I kept the XS.
I also did a whole try-on of this dress on my Instagram that is saved under my November highlight, so you can see two other ways to style it that are not included in this post. (You can also find those outfit ideas here and here). You might be surprised how many looks you can get out of a patterned dress! Okay, one way to wear this dress is by itself with over the knee or tall brown boots like I am above. This dress is super versatile in that you can wear it with any type of brown, tan, cream, or cognac boot, and it will match. I also love that you can wear any style of boot – over the knee boots, western boots, or chunky boots – with it!

Next, I paired the dress with a sweater over it. This makes it work appropriate but it also just creates a warmer outfit if you need one. I’m wearing this sweater in acorn, but I also included some others below that would be a good match. This coat is a very close match to the coat I’m wearing in the photo below (my coat is many years old). I love the combination of a girly dress, edgy boots, and a menswear inspired coat.

I really love to wear a fun fall hat with an outfit like this, especially if you’re going to be outside – at a place like a vineyard. This outfit screams wine tasting to me, and it would look just as cute with western style booties or boots.
Last but not least, any of these looks would work with a brown leather belt, especially if you’re wearing a sweater and want to highlight your waist. I would also wear a belt over or under the sweater coat outfit I put together with this dress, which I linked to above but you can also find it here.

I hope this gives you a few ideas of how to wear a fun fall dress. I love to get multiple outfits out of one piece!
