Hi there! Thanks so much for stopping by today. I originally wrote this post last year because I was so excited to get back into spring fashion after being sick from pregnancy the year before! I’m giving this post a refresh again this year, in 2024, because I’ve found myself loving spring fashion again. So, let’s get into an edit of new spring outfits!
12 Easy Spring Outfit Ideas That You Can Also Wear This Summer
Today, I’m sharing different outfits that I love to wear this time of the year. A lot of them are super versatile – you can wear them for anything on the weekend, and you can add a blazer or other lightweight jacket to them for a casual work look. I think of a lot of these looks as my spring uniform because I always turn to them this time of the year.
Okay, are you wondering why I said you can wear these outfits this summer and you see a photo of me in a cardigan? Just trade the sweater for a short sleeve top. I’ll pop a few right here that I think would look nice with most of these jeans or skirts! As for the linen button ups, I wear those all summer. Sometimes I roll up the sleeves!

Spring Cardigan And Black Trousers With Sneakers
This Sezane cardigan is one of my favorite pieces in my closet. I knew I would wear it a lot, but I think I’ve even surprised myself with how often I reach for it. It’s that good. It hardly needs a steam, and it just looks nice with everything! It comes in tons of colors, but I love the neutral options to wear with jeans, a work skirt, over a dress, or with trousers for a casual look. I linked black trousers that are a similar vibe to mine!
Pastel Sweater And T-Shirt
I’ve always gravitated towards neutrals since I think they look best on me, but I love this soft yellow pastel. It’s so close to a neutral that I figured it would work, and it did! The quality and comfort of this sweater is also just as I expected. I’m always impressed with Sezane’s quality, and this sweater is no exception. I’ve already worn it quite a bit. Click here to see a video of how I styled this sweater in three ways.
Monochrome Sweater And Slip Skirt Looks
I’ve also been eyeing this slip skirt, which is not an exact color match to my yellow sweater but I love that they’re close enough to create a monochrome look. I’d wear the sweater open with a fitted t-shirt like this one, or wear the sweater buttoned up for a super comfortable vibe. The short sleeve yellow cardigan I linked above would also be so cute!
This skirt comes in so many pretty color and pattern options. I linked two of the skirts below with sweater and shoe options to go with each skirt. One last thought on this skirt – while I love it for spring and summer, slip skirts are a good closet staple you can wear with boots when it’s cold!
T-shirt and Jeans Outfit
This is one of the easiest outfit formulas: a t-shirt and jeans! This linen t-shirt is a wardrobe staple for me. I can’t believe how much I wear it once April comes around. It’s one of my go-to tops all the way through the fall. Plus, this year, J.Crew came out with some really pretty color options that will be perfect to wear into fall. If you’ve ever read one of my blog posts or seen my Instagram, you will not be surprised to hear that I plan to pick up this top in chocolate brown!
Anyway, this outfit is a good option to have on hand to throw on when you don’t know what else to wear. There are so many pretty ballet flats available right now that make denim and a t-shirt look super chic. I love a classic pair of ballet flats, but you could also opt for a trendier pair of mesh ballet flats. I just received these black mesh ballet flat-inspired espadrilles that I’m excited to wear all spring and summer. Click here to see them on me.
I also linked a pair of black and beige slingbacks that look similar to mine.
Stripe Button Up and Jeans
This outfit is an option for the office for a casual day. You really can’t go wrong with jeans (or any bottom) and a button down. This one is linen, which is perfect to wear all the way through summer because you’ll be warm enough in the office air conditioning but you won’t be too hot outside. My jeans are really old from Zara, but they’re just a standard skinny jean!
My exact top is old from H&M. I linked one that looks pretty similar to me – down to the pocket on the front!
Stripe Button Up and White Jeans
This multicolor stripe top (also linked above) is this year’s version of my top below. I wear this shirt a lot in the summer because it keeps me cool temperature-wise! It’s linen and it will have some wrinkle – as you can see! I had just finished a long lunch on a super hot day. I linked a pair of white culotte jeans I recently purchased and plan to wear this summer.
Off The Shoulder Date Night Look
I’ve shared this off-the-shoulder top a few times now, but it’s such a cute top and it’s currently on sale! I wore it out for a date night, and I’m planning to wear it out for my birthday this spring too.
Denim on Denim Outfit
I’ve always loved wearing a denim on denim look. If you tuck in your shirt, you can break up the full denim look a little bit with a black, tan, or brown belt. This is a classic look, but I’m always in favor of adding edge to an outfit! You could easily do that here with this belt or another belt you find to be edgy!

White Jeans and Crochet Sweater
I just ordered these white jeans in the outfit idea below, and I’m so excited for them to arrive. They’re a cropped length, and I love the hem! They’ll be perfect to wear throughout spring and summer with ballet flats, espadrilles, or sandals.
Right now, I’m excited to pair them with a spring sweater like the crochet options below for a date night look, but they’re so easy to style for the day too. I love pieces you can easily transition from work to dinner! These would look cute with a pastel sweater during the daytime. This stripe Sandro cardigan also screams spring to me!
Easter Outfit Idea: Spring Skirt and Cardigan
Okay, I love this outfit idea and I might need to purchase this skirt, ha. I’ve always loved midi or maxi skirts because they’re so versatile. Don’t let this bright pattern make you think you can’t wear this until summer – it’s definitely cute to wear right now with boots, ballet flats, or even sneakers for a casual vibe. I linked another ivory lady jacket I love and own in other colors. This one from Mango is also gorgeous, and it’s a great price.
This look is perfect for Easter! If you’re a girl mom, Hill House makes matching looks for your little one.
Linen Top and Layer For Spring
Here in DC, once we reach April, the temperatures are normally high enough for linen. But, in true spring fashion, you’ll need a layer for the morning or evenings! I love to layer a linen top with a neutral cardigan. These jeans are such a good color for spring, and you can see what they look like on me here. They pair really well with black or brown!
As for shoes, ballet flats are perfect for spring temperatures. I saw this pair in Madewell, and they’re so cute! I keep thinking about them – plus, ballet flats will carry you from spring all the way through fall. I live in mine!
It can be a little tricky to dress this time of the year, but I hope you found some spring outfit inspiration! Thanks so much for stopping by today.
