There are so many ways to style corduroy pants! Below are several outfit ideas, but first, here are a few pairs I love. This is the pair I’m wearing, and they’re under $100. They are true to size, but if you’re between sizes, go with the size down.
Corduroy Pants With A Denim Jacket

Oversized Cashmere Sweater With Corduroys
These dark green corduroys are such a beautiful color! I love how they’re subtle but still something a little different than a neutral pant. I’ve been eyeing this oversized cashmere sweater ever since I saw it in store. It’s very soft, and it doesn’t feel overwhelming for an oversized fit! You can tuck it in or just wear it out. You can pair this look with brown, tan, or black shoes, and I’d probably go with tan or brown since that’s the undertone of the sweater. I linked a pair of tan boots that might surprise you, but they’re a close enough fit to your leg that you can wear them under pants!
Brown Corduroy Suit for Work
This brown corduroy suit is so gorgeous together for work or any type of meeting. It’s a good investment because you can wear these pieces together or as separates. I’d also wear the blazer with jeans, and I’d wear the corduroy pants with a turtleneck and a cardigan. That’s three outfits, and there are definitely tons more. The cut of this pant is versatile when it comes to shoes. You could wear them with any shoe, but I like these loafers in addition to the booties below.
Weekend Outfit with Brown Corduroy Pants
I love these brown corduroys so much that I wanted to show the weekend outfit idea I have for them. These pants are just as cute with sneakers as they are dressed up with loafers or booties. Versatility is so important to me when I buy anything! This tissue turtleneck is perfect for layering. I love this cashmere cardigan – I’ve tried it on in store and ultimately purchased the ribbed version, but I think this one is better suited for this look.

Cozy Grey Corduroy Pants for Winter And Holidays
If you’re looking for a neutral outfit for the holidays, this grey fair isle sweater with grey corduroys is perfect! I tried to pick this up for myself in store, but they didn’t have my size. But, it is such a soft sweater and it’s under $70 right now. These corduroy pants are styled as sailor pants. I love the length because you can wear them with booties or flats. I would tuck the front of the sweater in so you can see the detail on the front of the pants.

Burgundy Corduroys Perfect For Fall and Winter
Burgundy is still as popular this winter as it was early in the fall, so why not go for a monochrome look? The welt pockets on these corduroys is perfect for slimming your midsection, and so is the color burgundy (or the green option) since they are darker colors. Accessories are a great option for trends! If you love the burgundy trend but you don’t want to invest too much in it, wear an outfit you love with these burgundy ballet flats and this similar belt. I would pick the cashmere sweater or the button down shirt, and you can layer both with a jacket or blazer.

Yes! Corduroys are a classic pant option for fall, winter, and spring. They’re versatile, and even work appropriate in a casual or some business casual work environments, especially if you wear black or navy.
What to Wear with Corduroy Pants
If you’re looking for specific items to shop for to wear with a pair of corduroy pants, here are a few I recommend wearing!
- Sweater in the same color as your corduroy pants for a monochrome look
- Oversized blazer with straight leg corduroys
- Leather jacket for the fall or early spring
- Denim jacket
- Cashmere turtleneck
- Oversized sweater, especially with straight leg corduroys
- Wrap sweater (I’m obsessed with this one).
- Long sleeve layering shirt. I wear this one all the time, and it’s the perfect top to wear with corduroys and a blazer or jacket.
What Shoes to Wear with Corduroy Pants
- Ballet flats – this is my shoe of choice if you’re wearing corduroys to work and don’t want to wear boots or heels.
- Speaking of boots, you can wear any type of boot that will fit under your corduroys and not leave a real space between your leg and pant. I just bought this pair, and they’re on sale right now!
- Kitten heel slingback shoes for a dressier vibe
- I would avoid over the knee boots with corduroys because your pants will likely bunch up!
How to Wash Corduroy Pants
Believe it or not, this is a frequently asked question, and it makes sense! I always check the care instructions on most things before I purchase them. If you go with the corduroys I’m wearing in this post, I just wash and dry them without any issue. I think that’s true for most corduroys, but of course, just be sure to check the instructions!
