Can you believe Christmas will be here in a little over a month? I haven’t even started my shopping, but that’s pretty typical for me! I wanted to share a few Christmas outfit ideas that are comfortable options where you’ll still feel put together. I often have a few outfit ideas floating around in my head in the lead up to Christmas, but it all depends on where we are celebrating that year.
Cozy and Casual Christmas Day Outfit Ideas
Cozy Christmas Pajamas
I love anything red and green for Christmas pajamas as you can tell from my photo! I often spend Christmas Day in my pajamas. The print of my pajamas is from a previous year, but every year they make a fun new pattern. I’ve linked this year’s options below. My cashmere sweater, slippers, and socks are exactly the same!

Oversized Ribbed Sweater With Cozy Socks
If you like to wear neutrals and like jeans as much as I do, we might match on Christmas. This oversized ribbed cashmere sweater is off the charts comfortable and warm. I’m actually wearing it as I write this post. Sadly, this chocolate brown is not available this year, but there are several options! The burgundy sweater would match everything I’m wearing perfectly, or you could go for the matching burgundy socks! My mom just bought it in this beautiful cream color, which I also love.
Cozy Christmas Day Christmas Party Outfit
If you have a big family like I do, you might find yourself at a Christmas party on Christmas Day. You can still be really comfortable in a knit skirt and sweater. This cardigan is a go-to for me throughout a lot of the year, and I love how soft it is. It’s also versatile. You can wear it buttoned up like I am, or you can wear it open with a t-shirt underneath. My skirt is old, but I linked a chocolate brown knit wool skirt that’s similar to mine in material. That’s the whole point of the skirt – a knit skirt is more comfortable than polyester! This is one of my favorite Christmas outfit ideas, and you can also rewear it for other holiday parties.

Oversized Cashmere Sweater and Straight Leg Jeans
Is there anything more comfortable than a long cashmere sweater and a pair of jeans you feel confident wearing? That’s this outfit for me. My sweater is available in camel and light beige, which looks like an ecru to me. Be sure to size down one size in this sweater. I’m wearing an XS and normally wear a small. Red Sweater and Straight Leg Jeans
If you want to feel a little more festive, give this red sweater a try. The vertical lines on the sweater will give you height instead of width, and these jeans are high waisted with a good amount of stretch. So, you’ll be comfortable and they’ll accentuate your waist. I love that kitten heel and low heel booties are everywhere right now. They look so chic, and they’re practical!
Matching Wool Sweater Set
If you’re planning to lounge with family, whether that’s a big extended family or just a few people close to you, this matching set is perfect. I tried on this sweater in store and didn’t even realize it was part of a matching set. It’s 100 percent wool, which I love, and it’s not itchy or too heavy. I recommended sizing down one size. The XS fit me perfectly, and I’m typically a small.
Knit Wool Sweater With Jeans
You can also wear these pieces separately. I love the sweater with jeans, and that’s how I’m planning to wear it. Click here to see the sweater on me with jeans and loafers.
Oversized Cable Knit Sweater Over Slip Dress
I noticed this oversized cable knit sweater in store, and it’s so, so soft. It’s the perfect sweater to wear with a red slip dress, green slip dress, or a neutral one. I love the look of an oversized sweater with a slip dress – just put on the slip dress and layer the sweater right over it. It’s so simple, and you’ll be chic and comfortable. You can wear any pair of shoes with this look, whether you want boots or flats. These kitten heel boots are gorgeous, and they dress up the outfit but the heel height means they’ll still be easy to walk in.
If you don’t want to draw extra attention to your hips, go for a dark green option or a dark neutral. Red is the first color you or anyone else will see in an outfit! A little tip I recently learned in a personal styling course.
Cashmere Turtleneck Sweater With Jeans
Is there a more classic winter outfit than a cashmere sweater with jeans? This turtleneck is the perfect Christmas Day green! This outfit is an easy one to style – you can wear it with slippers, loafers, or boots. I love when an outfit works with any shoes. I also linked a few other cashmere turtlenecks I love. They all pair perfectly with jeans.
Green Shacket With Boots
This green shirt jacket is one of my most worn pieces this fall, and I’m planning to keep wearing it. It just goes with everything. While it is cotton, I love to layer it over a wool or cashmere top for warmth. I’m wearing it here with this wool sweater (I’m linking this year’s version). I’m planning to wear this exact outfit with boots and a turtleneck once it gets colder, and I’ll add a topcoat if I need to! If you’re in an area where it doesn’t get too cold, this jacket is perfect to wear all year. Shop my outfit here.
I hope this helped you for outfits for Christmas! Did you find a cozy outfit to wear for the holiday? Thanks so much for stopping by today.
