We are so close to warmer weather, and here in Washington, D.C. we’ve already seen a few of those days – so I thought this was a good time to share an edit of spring essentials! While I really do love to bundle up in scarves, hats, and warm sweaters, I’m already excited to shed some of the heavy coats and accessories for lighter layers.
Since it’s still a little early, I tried to include items that will take you from winter into spring (depending on where you live, of course), so there are still sweaters and long sleeves. I’ve also noticed a lot of pastels and lighter colors, which I love, so I included a few of those pieces too – from a sweatshirt to a puffy sleeve sweater. Plus, keeping with the bright/pastel colors, I included a gorgeous dress that is blue and white. I love this color combination for warm weather and this dress is perfect for spring because it has long sleeves.
To me, spring is all about layering, so I was sure to include trench coat options, sweater coats (also called sweater blazers here!), a denim jacket, and a leather shacket for those of you who love to be a little edgy! (this is the exact leather shacket I am wearing here.)
One of the things I love about spring is packing away most of my boots. I do love to pair a combat boot with a girly dress, but I really look forward to wearing my sneakers, loafers, and slingback shoes way more! I included a pair of Vejas and a pair of gorgeous loafers. If you are looking for a pair of leather sneakers that you can wear all year, you really can’t go wrong with Vejas. I wear the pair that I link to below (in white.) I also got into some mud the other day in my pair, and they cleaned up so easily. They look brand new!
There are other dresses and accessories that I included and can’t wait to wear myself. I also picked each item because I think you can wear them with lots of different outfits – if you’ve read any of my other posts, you know that versatility is key to me when it comes to a wardrobe! Let me know what you think!
