Hi, fashion lovers! I’ve shared before that I love bright sweaters and tops. However, is there anything better than a camel or gray sweater that goes with everything? Feeling extra cozy today as I share my top neutral sweaters for fall!
This J.Crew cashmere cardigan is one I wear year after year. J.Crew also has a featherweight cashmere version of this cardigan in other neutral colors, which I’ve linked above. I was surprised to see this particular color is no longer available, so I linked similar options from Bloomingdales, Zara, Marks & Spencer, and Gap below. You’ll also see a few other cardigans that I would pair with jeans. For those of you who are looking for oversized options, keep scrolling – I’ve got you covered too.
In case you are looking for an option that isn’t cashmere Peter pan collars are popular this year, but I think they’re more than a trend. I will wear this sweater for years to come! Can’t go wrong with a cashmere cardigan
I really like the relaxed / oversized sweater options that are everywhere this fall. They’re comfortable but still look chic! I would pair any of these sweaters with jeans or work pants – just add boots, loafers, or flats. Speaking of pairing with work pants.. this type of sweater is sensible for working from home – you can be cozy and still look office ready. Neutrals are also a smart choice for letting your shoes or accessories – like a pair of fun earrings or a necklace – shine!
I just bought this and it is the perfect oversized neutral sweater – I sized up one size I’ve shared the above oversized cashmere sweater from H&M a few times, so I wanted to provide something different. This one is wool and it’s from & Other Stories This relaxed turtleneck would pair with white denim for the perfect winter white outfit! I would also wear it with blue or black denim Ribbed cashmere sweater (this also comes in a pretty lilac if you don’t want a neutral!) This one is 100% wool
These pieces didn’t necessarily fall into any specific category but I thought each of them was worth sharing. See below for how I would style each piece.
MangoZara vest Theory Outlet Bloomingdales H&M Madewell
Mango cardigan: This cardigan caught my eye because it looks very warm! I would wear it with jeans and a t-shirt or work pants and a blouse.
Zara vest and Theory Outlet coat: These next two options could be worn as outerwear or your top. I love the structure and tie of the Zara wool blend vest, and think it would look perfect with a black turtleneck and black over the knee boots. I’ve shared this Theory Outlet coat before in blue (it’s technically a coat but I’d wear it as my “sweater”). I love the idea of putting a big belt around it for a more formal look, but I’d also wear it open as pictured here.
Bloomingdales pullover: This cashmere sweatshirt would be perfect for pretty much anything – traveling, the holidays, running errands, or even casual Fridays at the office.
Black H&M sweater: I have this H&M sweater in a different color and it is so warm. It pairs perfectly with high waist jeans as it hits just past the top of your jeans.
Madewell cashmere sweaters: What a neckline! I don’t normally go for v-neck sweaters or tops, so I love how subtle this one is.
Thanks for coming by!
