Ten Green Outfit Ideas I Think You’ll Love

Hi and welcome!! Let’s chat about a color I love to wear and some ideas on how to wear it! Okay, if you were to look in my closet, you’d see a ton of neutral pieces that I regularly mix and match. I also love green, especially in the fall, winter, and early spring.

If you’re a neutral lover like me, you might find green intimidating to use in outfits. But, I think it’s a good option since green doesn’t have to be too dramatic like a bright red might be. There are so many different shades of green, so you can always find the right shade of green for you!

Ten Green Outfit Ideas I Think You’ll Love

Here’s a roundup of green outfit ideas with green pieces I love! You can wear these looks for different occasions through different seasons.

Suede Green Jacket For Work and Weekend

This green suede jacket is one of the most versatile pieces I own. It’s kind of a jacket, kind of a blazer, and kind of a shirt jacket! It’s a closet staple because you can style it in so many different ways. While it also comes in a neutral camel, this shade of green is also a neutral. It looks nice with grey, beige, brown, ecru, and black. You get the idea! I’m wearing it casually here, but it also goes well with work pants or a skirt.

Suede Green Jacket And Green Satin Pants

These satin pants are beautiful in person – they look nice online, but photos don’t really do them justice. I’ve been trying to decide which color to get, and I actually decided on green because it will make a gorgeous monochrome outfit with this suede jacket! If you’re in the office, consider this outfit for work, but know that you can also wear it to dinner afterwards!

Oversized Striped Green Button Up For Work Or Weekend

My striped green and white button up is a go-to piece for me, and it works for a casual weekend look like mine or for your office. I wore this outfit to take my baby out to breakfast! You can also wear an oversized button up like this over a lightweight tank top when it gets warmer.

My exact shirt is sold out from Banana Republic, but I linked two below that have the same vibe.

Green Slip Skirt For Winter Or Spring

I’m starting to look forward to spring because it’s been gloomy and snowing here for the past week, so let’s start with an outfit that you can wear now and in the spring. The shade of green of this skirt is so pretty. I love how the lighter cardigan and boots don’t make this outfit feel too wintery, but it will still keep you warm.

Green Slip Skirt For Winter Or Spring

The sweater I put in the collage is the first option linked, and it is a wool-cashmere blend! I also linked a cashmere sweater I own and love that looks similar. For some reason it’s showing the black sweater in the preview, but the one I have is an oat color. Click here to see it on me.

Olive Green Lightweight Pants

If you feel like a color you love just doesn’t look right on you as a shirt or sweater, then try wearing that color as pants or a skirt since it won’t be against your face! These olive pants are a great way to wear green. Click here to see these pants on me.

I styled this outfit as a date night or night with friends look, but you can wear these pants to work too. The pants are crepe, so you can wear them in the spring, summer, and fall with ballet flats, slingbacks, or sneakers.

Okay, these pants are such a good find because of their versatility. So, I wanted to make a second look with them, and this is one you can wear to work. You can pair these with pretty much any top or sweater, but I love the idea of wearing them with this fun leopard top. Of course, they would look nice with a classic button up or sweater too. I also love this pale blue silk blouse with these pants. This blouse is stunning in person, and you can wear it with anything.

Green Cotton Jacket For Fall And Spring

This cotton shirt jacket is the perfect piece of outerwear for transitional seasons like fall and spring. It’s also a good option to take with you on vacation for chilly beach nights – especially if you’re in New England. It’s 100 percent cotton, so it’s incredibly breathable and never feels heavy. Anyway, this is such a beautiful green and it goes with lots of neutrals. I love to wear it with creams in the spring and darker options like chocolate brown in the fall!

Green Linen Shirtdress Perfect For Summer

This green linen shirt dress is either my most worn or second most worn dress for fall and summer. It’s the perfect thing to wear to work with slingback shoes or flats. But, it looks just as cute for a casual weekend outfit with sneakers. You can shop my exact dress here. It’s available in a few sizes. I also linked it below along with two other dresses I think are similar options.

Green Sweater Outfit For Work or Weekend

I’ve worn J.Crew cashmere sweaters for many years, and I am always impressed with the quality of each one I buy. I was excited to see this pretty green option!

This type of outfit – a sweater with jeans and whatever shoes are appropriate – is my go-to look on a weekend. I layer over it as necessary! But, you’ll always feel put together and chic. This type of outfit also has the perk of being comfortable, which is even more important to me now that I’m a mom. These jeans are a great fit – click here to see them on me because a collage doesn’t show how good they are!

I also linked a totally different green sweater that would look really nice with the same outfit.

Khaki Green Coat For Winter, Spring, and Fall

If you’re bored of a black, brown, or gray coat, this khaki green wrap coat is perfect because it goes with everything too. I own this coat in camel, which is what I’m wearing below. I can attest to how comfortable and warm it is! It fits really easily over all of your winter outfits, which is important to me. I hate feeling like I’ve had to stuff my clothes and myself into a coat! It also travels really easily. I’m wearing it here in Boston, and I’ve also taken it to London.

Green Accessories For Different Seasons

If you like to wear neutrals, green is a great color to accessorize with – whether you’re looking for a cozy winter hat or a straw bag to carry in the summer. This is my go-to summer bag. It holds anything and everything, and despite being used a ton, it looks brand new!

Are you wearing green more this year? Let me know what you think, or if there’s another color you’re loving this year! I also recently wrote a post on styling white pieces, so click here to read what goes with white pants if you’re interested!
