Hi there, and welcome to today’s blog post on what in the world to wear with white pants. First, let me say that jeans are one of my favorite things to wear. I basically live in them. Once you find the right pair, they’re just so easy to style because they go with most everything. I think white pants are actually the same.

White jeans, white corduroys, and white pants in general are a fresh alternative to blue jeans throughout the year, including the colder months of the year. Okay, I say white, but I also mean ecru, off white, and even natural or oatmeal color pants. While they’re all versatile and work with similar tops, shoes, and accessories, they may seem intimidating to style! So, today, I’m sharing a roundup of items to wear with white pants. Some of these pieces are eye catching accessories, and another is simply a cardigan that will add the perfect final touch to your look!
What Goes With White Pants Throughout The Year
Gold Ballet Flats And Silver Ballet Flats
These gold ballet flats have the perfect size heel for an elevated, everyday look. Dress up your white pants with these flats! I love the woven detail of the second pair of gold ballet flats I linked – the woven finish also instantly elevates jeans. Gold ballet flats have been really popular during the fall and holiday season, but they’re just as cute for spring and summer. I wear ballet flats all year!
This flat is a cute option if you don’t want to go full metallic!
Green Blouse
This green flowy blouse would be the perfect top to pair with skinny or straight leg white jeans or white pants. The contrast of a flowy blouse looks nice with a tailored pant. This top comes in a few other colors too, but the green is the best choice to add a pop of color – a subtle one! I created an outfit idea with this blouse that I included at the end of this post if you are looking for some inspiration.
You could definitely wear this top untucked and loose for a relaxed look. I would likely choose to tuck it in and wear it with a belt! Either way, it will be cute with ballet flats, loafers, or boots. I have a blouse similar to this one, and I wear it in the summer with sandals too.
Tortoise Shell Sunglasses
These sunglasses are easily my most worn sunglasses! They just go with everything, including white pants. I feel like these add a touch of sophistication to whatever look I’m wearing.

White or Cream Sweater
I love wearing white pants with a white or cream sweater. Take a look at this monochrome outfit that I tried on at Sezane. These white trousers are absolutely gorgeous, and they’re so perfect for the office. They also come in several other colors that would boost your work wardrobe – black, brown, and navy.
My exact cardigan is sold out, but I linked three cardigans that have a similar look. Plus, there are so many cute neutral sweaters out – or already in your closet. Monochrome looks are always super chic.
Denim Jacket
A denim jacket is a classic piece that looks so nice with white pants or white jeans! I think it’s the contrast in the white and denim. Anyway, I love this cropped denim puffer jacket for the colder months (also the first link below). I wish I had a reason for it, but I don’t at the moment!
A traditional denim jacket is a good option for spring when layers are essential. It will go over any blouse, t-shirt, or other top you pair with your white pants! If you’re wearing straight leg or skinny white pants, you could go for a cropped, regular, or an oversized and flowy type of jean jacket. If you’re wearing wide leg pants, I’d probably go for a cropped jacket.
Okay, one last thought on this – who says a denim jacket has to be a traditional type of jacket? I love this denim look blazer for a smart, elevated look! I’ve always loved this sherpa lined denim jacket. You can see what this jacket looks like on me here. I’m wearing the corduroy version.
Neutral Handbag
My Tory Burch bag is probably the bag that I carry the most. I received it as a birthday gift from my family, so I also think about them when I carry it. I love when a favorite piece also has sentimental value. Anyway, neutral handbags will obviously go a long way in your closet. Whether you choose a black, brown, grey, navy, or cream bag, each of these options will pair well with white pants.
Leather Belt
The right belt can totally transform a look! I included a few options below that will work with different colors and styles of tops. If you want to invest in a timeless belt that you can wear with pretty much anything, I recommend this Celine belt. I have the natural tan option, but the black is also gorgeous in both the silver and gold hardware.
The braided belt comes in some more traditional belt colors like black and brown. I really love this belt for spring and summer. The ecru crocidile belt would be so cute with white jeans or white trousers if you’re going for a monochrome outfit.
Neutral Leather Loafers
Picking shoes for your white pants outfit depends on a lot – are you going to work, will you be walking a lot, what top did you choose, etc! But, I do think brown, tan, black, or another neutral color loafers are a pretty safe bet for most looks. I’ve been living in this pair since I purchased them. I’m really impressed with the quality of the shoe, how comfortable they are, and how well they’ve held up with frequent wear.
Square Frame Sunglasses
These sunglasses will instantly elevate your white pants outfit! You can see them on me here! White pants always seem very girly to me, so I love the little bit of edge the aviator style sunglasses gives to any look. The square frame of this particular pair is unique and feels super chic! I went with the brown pair since it matches the majority of my wardrobe, but the black are also beautiful!
Wrap Coat
If you’re wearing white pants during the fall and winter, you might wonder what type of coat to wear to complete your look. I love this wrap coat! The camel and khaki colors are my favorite, and they’ll both pair well with white pants of any cut. I wear this coat so much, and it also travels really well – I’m wearing the same coat in the photo in loafers section above, and I was in London.
Cotton Jacket for Spring
I have a cotton jacket that I wear all the time in the spring and the fall. And I’ve been noticing they’re everywhere right now! I think they’d look so cute with white jeans, white pants, or white corduroys. I love them all, but I really love each of the ones that are light blue and chambray!
Suede Booties
Suede booties bring so much to an outfit! I think they elevate any look, and I love the contrast of a cognac suede bootie or a brown suede bootie with white, ecru, or beige pants! I also love these leather booties!
Bright Tops
These white jeans are my go-to white jeans for warm weather. They look nice in the summer with a fun, bright top like my striped linen button up. While I essentially live in neutrals, tops with bright colors pair really well with white jeans or white trousers.
If you’re into monochrome looks, you could also pair this with a black shirt and black sandals!
