Welcome back, fashion lovers! There are a few things I’m really looking forward to when it comes to things to wear this year, and I wanted one of my first blog posts of the year to be a few of these things.
BLAZERS
I really love blazers and didn’t get to wear them enough last year. (Like many other things!) This leather blazer is a staple in my closet. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love to rewear my entire wardrobe as much as possible, and blazers are the perfect piece to rewear with different tops and accessories (scarves, necklaces, etc.) Here are a few blazers that I think would be good staples for your closet.
THE CARRY ON / TRAVEL BAG
This is a fashion blog, as you know, but accessories include bags, and well, the most exciting accessory to me in 2021 is the potential to use a carry on bag for traveling. I like to keep it optimistic around here, so I’m just hoping we are able to travel later this year. Below are a few carry on/travel bags that I think are gorgeous and perfect for keeping your things safe – what a combo.
PANTS THAT ARE NOT SWEATPANTS (SKIRTS ARE OKAY TOO!)
Who doesn’t love loungewear? I sure do! I even wrote a blog post on loungewear pretty recently. But, I’m ready to wear my cozy sweats at least a little less frequently! Here are a selection of pants / skirts for your wardrobe that are not sweatpants, exercise pants, or anything in between.
HATS
Ever since I was little, I’ve always loved hats – baseball caps, beanies, beanies with poms, and wide brim hats. So, I’m sharing a few of my favorite hats that I’ve seen recently – from summer to winter – all seasons are included. A hat is always in season!
This is the hat I’m wearing
PASTELS & LIGHTER COLORS
I love a good neutral outfit as much as anyone, but pastels and tops with lighter colors are one of my favorite things to wear. I don’t think they need to be trendy either – think about how classic blue and white are. Some of my favorite sweaters are different shades of pink, and I’ve had them for years.
It seems like pastels in particular will be popular this spring, so I’m sharing a few pieces that caught my eye. While I am ready to forget my coats and sweaters already and shop for spring, it still feels pretty early for spring shopping – so I’ll be sure to share more later on spring fashion.
What are you looking forward to wearing in 2021? Happy New Year!
