If there’s one thing I think anyone can have in their closet, it’s some sort of blazer. I love how they come in all different styles, so there’s always a blazer that can work for you. Plus, blazers add an effortless and elegant touch to your outfits. Who doesn’t love that? They’re classic pieces that go well with just about anything.

Last year, I found a grey blazer that I love and wear often, which is what I’m wearing above. It’s still in stock if you love it too – I’m wearing size small. So, today’s post is about what to wear with a grey blazer, whether you like the oversized one I’m wearing or a totally different style of grey blazer! Here are a few others I love.
What to Wear with a Grey Blazer
Fun Blouse
You don’t have to wear a solid top under a blazer. I love a fun blouse under a blazer to show off your personal style, whether you’re going to work or out on the weekend. I try to avoid tops with overly puffy sleeves or something that I know will be to hot.
Neutral Shoes
I recently purchased these loafers in brown (click to see them on me), and they’re a total dream to walk in! They’re so comfortable, and I love how the style goes with jeans or a dress. I also tried them on in black, which I loved and keep thinking about! Click here to see them on me in black. Anyway, each of the shoes below will be a good option for different seasons with a grey blazer.
Matching Grey Top
There’s nothing easier than a matching top and blazer because it makes getting dressed so seamless. When I bought this blazer, I also bought this matching sleeveless grey cashmere sweater. It’s the perfect top to wear under my exact blazer throughout different seasons. I also love the look of a cardigan or cardigan shirt under a blazer. If you’re layering for fall and spring, you might want to choose sleeveless or other lightweight options that you can wear by itself if you want to take off your blazer.
Okay, this isn’t grey, but I love how my oversized grey blazer and white cardigan look together. Plus, it’s only $33 right now!
Light Blue Denim
Light blue denim is definitely appropriate to wear all year, but I really love it for a fresh spring look with a grey blazer and grey ballet flats.

How To Style A Grey Blazer
Grey Blazer With Double Denim Outfit
A denim button up and matching jeans are the perfect base to wear under a grey blazer. I love a lighter denim option for spring. This option is perfect for a casual work Friday or any day if you’re in a casual work environment. I styled this double denim look with the blazer I’m wearing in the photos above and below. You could also style this type of outfit with a grey blazer with black denim and black shoes during colder seasons.
Oversized Wool Blazer
My oversized wool blazer has a lot going for it! It’s soft, warm, looks super polished, a great price point, and shaped in a way that you can wear it buttoned up or open!

White Button Up With Silver Metallic Shoes
If you want to wear your blazer as your outerwear, I layer a warm mockneck or turtleneck sweater (mine is the same sleeveless one I’m wearing above) under my button up. Just add your blazer as your coat! I love this look for the fall and the winter. It feels super cozy but also still very chic. But, you could definitely wear it in early spring when you are ready to pack away your heavy winter coats.

Grey Blazer With Fun Blouse
This houndstooth blazer is so fun with the chain print blouse. I love this for work just as much as I do for the weekend.
Grey Oversized Wool Blazer Spring Outfit
A crewneck t shirt and blazer are a classic combination and one you can dress up or down. The long sleeve fitted top I’m wearing is one of my most worn shirts in my closet because it layers so well under blazers, but it’s also perfectly fine on its own. Plus, it’s work appropriate.
