Hi there! Thanks for coming by today! I’m excited to write this blog post because I think I found the perfect pair of olive green pants. If you love denim like me but need at least one pair of something that isn’t denim in your closet, these pants are the perfect alternative to blue jeans or other neutral pants. Olive green is actually super versatile because it matches black, brown, cream, tan, white, etc. It’s a classic color that goes well with a lot!
What to Wear With Olive Green Pants
My exact pair of pants are a lightweight fabric that you can wear all year, which was one of the top reasons I ended up purchasing them.
Let’s look at different pieces you can wear with these pants or something similar! I’ve also included outfit ideas towards the bottom of this post. PS I’ve linked these pants in two shops as each shop has different size availability! You can shop them here or here. I’m wearing the color called woodland.
Espadrille Sandals
Espadrille sandals are a reliable shoe that you can wear with so many different looks. I chose this casual platform pair by Barbour, and love how black looks with this faded green. However, brown or tan will look just as nice! You can dress these pants up with an espadrille that’s not so casual too.
My espadrille fisherman sandals were a surprise purchase for me this summer. I realized I didn’t have any black sandals! So, I purchased the pair in the photo above and love them. They’re comfortable right out of the box, and they add a fun edge to your outfit. They also come in a beautiful brown.
Striped T-Shirt
Stripes are all the rage right now, and they’re a classic so you’ll always be in style wearing them. I love this black and white striped t-shirt I recently picked up from COS. I’ve been wearing it non-stop. COS has something of a cult following for their t-shirts, and whenever I try one or buy one, I remember why. I went for my normal size small in this cut, but be sure to check the size chart if you’re between sizes or looking at other t-shirts they sell. Sometimes I pick up a medium for a t-shirt, for example.
Lace V-Neck Top For A Night Out
My black lace v-neck top is perfect for a night out. It also comes in ecru! Either top looks really nice with these pants for an evening look! I wore slingbacks (linking similar that I like here), but you could elevate this look a little more with kitten heels or sandals with a heel.
Denim Jacket
Denim is another fabric that goes with olive, and I love how the different textures look together. Depending on where you are in the world, save this type of outfit for spring, fall, or winter. There are so many different types of denim jackets, so I included a few below that I love. If you want something a little edgier, try a leather jacket.
Neutral Feminine Top
While these pants pair perfectly with the casual tops I mentioned above, olive green looks really nice with an off white, white, beige, or black blouse like this one for warm weather and this one for when you need long sleeves. You could also go for an edgy vibe with your feminine blouse – hear me out! This slate lace blouse would pair perfectly with these olive pants. Wear it open with a black tank top underneath for an edgier vibe. These neutrals will all look really nice with olive pants.
Kitten Heels
These wide leg pants will already make your legs look long, but add a pointed toe kitten heel and it will make them look even longer. I also love how slingback shoes look with this type of pant. I just ordered this pair to wear with these pants and a lot of other pieces in my closet, including jeans and skirts.
Straw Bag
A khaki straw bag is the perfect accessory to wear with these olive pants in the summer and fall! This bag (shown in my reel in a different color that I also linked below) is absolutely gorgeous in person, and you can wear it during the daytime or nighttime.
Cropped Trench Coat
We all need a trench coat or lightweight jacket at some point! If you’re commuting to work or planning to be outside in these pants, a cropped trench coat will look super chic with these wide leg pants.
Women’s Outfits with Olive Green Pants
Weekend Outfit With Slingback Shoes And Cropped Trench Coat
If you’re looking for something to wear on the weekend, this is an elevated casual outfit. If you’re more of a sneaker girl on the weekend, trade these slingbacks for Converse sneakers, sambas, or whatever your current favorite is! I love these white sneakers.
Casual Weekend Outfit With A Striped Top
I recently bought this black and white striped t-shirt, and it’s the perfect base with these olive green pants. You can wear this outfit with the espadrilles I’m wearing in my first photo for a casual look. Or, elevate this look with a strappy sandal (see these sandals and the striped top on me here). This base is really versatile, so you could also dress it up for work by adding a blazer and kitten heels or ballet flats. I love the look of an oversized blazer buttoned up!
Long Linen Vest And Straw Bag For Summer And Early Fall
These pants are also a good base for a romantic top any time of the year. I’m planning to wear them with this long linen vest I just bought since it’s warm outside right now. Click here to see this blouse on me (I’m wearing size M), and click here for a similar top.
I hope you found an outfit idea or some inspiration for how to wear olive green trousers!
